Is the Cougatti Just the Purtiest 2002 Mercury Cougar you ever did see?

Sure, most people would love to have a Bugatti Veyron; sadly, at over a million bucks a pop we're talking a vehicle that's slightly out of reach for most consumers. Thankfully, one man and eBay have rectified this issue with something we'll call a Cougatti (or Bougar).

Based on a 112,000-mile 2002 Mercury Cougar with a V6 and automatic transmission, this one-of-one Cougatti has a starting bid of $89,000 and no takers as of this writing. Potential buyers get all the body work, 20-inch wheels, angel eye HID headlights, LED tails, two gas caps (one functional), and power windows/mirrors.

No pics of the interior just yet, but the seller says it is "in progress" and "very close to being ready for upholstery".

267.81 mph production class record set by Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport!

You’ve got to hand it to the guys at Bugatti as they build one fast automobile. When it came out in 2004 everyone was a bit taken back by the fact that it had two major talking points. First off was the $1.2 million price tag and second was the 253.5 mph top speed. Pinned as the ultimate GT car the Bugatti Veyron in stock trim made an amazing 1,001 hp and 922 lb-ft tq. from its quad-turbocharged W16 engine and rocketed its passengers from 0-60 in 2.2 seconds. Since that time though another car, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT has eclipsed the Bugatti’s record with an amazing Guinness Book of World Records run of 256.12 mph.

Not one to be satisfied with a mere 253.5 mph and second place, Bugatti decided to go out and once again shatter the production car land speed record with a verified run of 267.81 mph. To accomplish this amazing feet power output was raised from 1,001 hp to 1,200 hp and 1,106 lb-ft tq. up from 922. A new aerodynamic kit was also added. The top speed was also “limited” to 257.9 mph to keep the tires in one piece. If you want to view this masterpiece of speed you’ll actually be able to do so, but not until the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in August. This record does make you wonder though what the guys over at SSC Ultimate Aero TT are doing now because you know damn well they’re not going to let Bugatti keep this title for long.

A 20-year-old boy, Monday evening, a few days ago, the Dutch police arrested after shot 160 km / h with the supercar Bugatti Veyron (the fastest car in the world) in Doenkade in Rotterdam. This unfortunate young man is considered violation of the rules in the area because the maximum allowed speed limit is only 80 km / hr.

The Daily News reported Dutch police have arrested a driver's license (SIM) and a car worth 1.8 million Euros which was then known to the offender's parents. No mention what sanctions will be given the police the young man and how the fate of the Veyron.

Bugatti Veyron is the fastest car in the world. With a 8.0-liter engine four-cylinder-powered turbocharger 16 1001 hp and 1250 Nm of torque, the Veyron is able to speed dilecut 407 km / hr.

Geneva 2010: Bugatti Grand Sport bares its carbon fiber

Over the past few years Bugatti has released numerous versions of its Veyron supercar, but the Grand Sport model hasn't been out enough to get too many variations. Bugatti released the Sang Bleu version this past summer in Monterey, but that's about it. In addition to the the pair of Grand Sports we drove, those are the only color combinations we've seen for the drop-top Bugatti.

That is, of course, until we hit the show floor here in Geneva. Bugatti has brought out a brand new Grand Sport finished in carbon fiber covered in clearcoat and polished aluminum. Other than the wheels, which we're not huge fans of, the car is completely stunning to look at. If we somehow had the cash to buy and maintain a Bugatti, the carbon fiber finish would be the first option we would check off

Bugatti Veyron Linea Vincero by Mansory New photos pics images

The Linea Vincero, the result of the customization program by Mansory and based on the Bugatti Veyron 16 will be officially unveiled this spring at the 2009 Geneva Auto Salon.

Totally lightweight, the aerodynamic kit was manufactured using the finest carbon fiber, providing optimized performance and driving comfort besides the creation of a totally exclusive appearance. The front receives a makeover that creates a more powerful look particularly in conjunction with the modified mudguards. Highlights that improve its stylish overall appearance include an incorporated LED-elements that underscores new lines and forms that honor the brand name Vincerò together with new side skirt design that helps maintain the flow of its elegant design from the front end to the back. A fresh front splitter was also added to a shortened engine cover.

The modified supercar features an enhanced cold air induction system and an optimized exhaust, which enables the Bugatti's massive 8.0-liter 16 cylinder engine to produce 1109 hp and 1310 Nm of torque (instead of the standard 1001 hp and 1250 Nm of torque).

In terms of styling, Mansory equips the Linea Vincero Veyron with an extensive carbon-fiber body kit that includes a shorter hood, a new front apron, revised side skirts, and an aggressive rear diffuser. The company also adds a "V" insignia to the front grille, LED daytime running lights, and fully-forged turbine-design wheels.

Inside, the Linea Vincero Veyron features additional carbon-fiber trim and LED lighting fitted to seats, doors and dash.
